STATIS© Now Web-Based!

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Teacher Resources Incorporated (TRI) proudly announces that STATIS© is now a web-based product. Think of what that means – teachers are no longer tied to an individual desktop or laptop system to access their lesson plans, test questions, and data. What makes this capability even more powerful is the ability to provide clicker support no matter which system the teacher is using. And, if you have already made an investment in clicker technology, it is likely that these clickers will work with the STATIS© product. This amplifies your return on your clicker investment.

In addition STATIS© features a calender interface. This calender helps teachers plan the delivery of their units. The calender also will provide color coded (Green-red) tiles that indicate immediately to teachers where students have been successful.Class Calender

The STATIS© calender permits teachers to easily adjust the length of time required for each lesson – the system will make all of the necessary adjustments!  Imagine that…STATIS© provides the teacher with a easy to use visual tool to keep them focused on their class performance.  Talk to us – we will be happy to provide additional details.

The Problem

Modern classroom software has to handle more types of information than ever.  For example, a single test question should link together all of these bits of information:

  • State Standards Alignment
  • Bloom’s Taxonomy Level
  • Lesson Plan Alignment (for each instructor or school)
  • Emerging Standards Alignment (Common Core)
  • Question Source
  • Special Restrictions (securing high-stakes tests)
  • Supplemental Reading Material
  • How answers should be given (multiple-choice, free-response, short-answer, numeric)
  • Feedback for wrong (or correct) answers
  • Grading criteria; Weight

Test Delivery Options in STATIS

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

There is no one-size-fits-all option for test delivery. STATIS embraces this fact by working with most common testing styles – paper, “clickers”, and online tests. All of these methods pull from the same great customizable database of questions, reading, feedback, and state standards, but each is appropriate in different situations, and under different resource constraints.
